Rock Rose Gin Autumn Edition
A warm gin bursting with berries and light spice.
Our Autumn Edition has been distilled using lots of locally grown botanicals as well as our traditional Rock Rose botanicals. It is bursting with blackberries and raspberries from Caithness Summer Fruits and blaeberries from the Dunnet area. Grown in our very own geodome, Vietnamese coriander and nasturtium flowers add to the spice of the gin.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Delicious sweet berries notes on the nose. delicate bouquet of rose, mixed with deeper cardamom and a touch of citrus.
Palate
Spicier elements start to come through from the nasturtium flowers merging nicely with the fruitier notes.
Finish
An earthier finish from the Vietnamese coriander with lingering berry notes.
Botanical Symphony
Nasturtium Flowers
The nasturtium is an annual plant which grows in our garden and geodome. It is a sprawling vine, producing vibrant orange flowers. These flowers are picked and added to our botanical basket and their pepperiness adds spice to our Autumn Edition. The flowers also work well as a beautiful garnish!
Blackberries
Technically blackberries are an ‘aggregate fruit’ rather than a berry. The ‘berry’ is made of around forty small, juicy drupelets which are dark purply-black in colour. This gorgeous colour comes from the wonderful antioxidant, anthocyanins, which blackberries are full of. We select our berries from Caithness Summer Fruits, located not too far from the distillery.
Vietnamese Corriander
With narrow, pointed leaves and pretty burgundy markings this botanical is quite unlike the rest of it’s coriander family. We use the young, tender leaves in our Autumn Edition distillation to provide the spicier notes which complement the berries.

Bought this as a birthday present for a friend. I had previously purchased the “Lassies …..” variety for her, which she adored. I myself drink the Original (note to self – need to order a pouch for Christmas). On to the Autumn- this gin is fantastic – complimented by the berries and spices- difficult to choose whether to add tonic or a little ginger ale- I prefer the latter, but don’t drown the gin- adding a sprinkle coriander is a lovely touch or basil as previous ppl have said

I bought this on the spur of the moment, its simply fabulous. Now I’ve two gorgeous bottles to buy a pouch for!!!! Garnishing it with basil really enhances the drink.
